Understanding TMonie

What the platform is designed to help you do.

What is TMonie?

TMonie is a financial planning and budgeting platform for important spending decisions. You can build the full cost of a purchase, trip, event or business expense, compare acting now with waiting, keep some savings available and record what actually happened later.

Who is TMonie for?

It is built for individuals and households planning major expenses, independent workers managing irregular income or business purchases, and small teams that need shared plans and approval records.

How is TMonie different from a budget calculator?

A calculator usually stops at a total. TMonie keeps your costs, payment dates, alternatives, reminders, shared plans and final costs together, so you can keep using the plan after the first calculation.

Planning and decisions

How to move from an estimate to a finished plan.

What can I plan?

You can itemise major purchases, local or international trips, events, weddings, household commitments and business spend. Plans can include deposits, recurring costs, contingency, suppliers and relevant payment or cancellation deadlines.

How does the buy-now-versus-wait comparison work?

TMonie compares the upfront cost with your accessible savings and the savings amount you choose to keep available. A waiting option can include an amount you plan to save each month and a timeframe. The assumptions stay visible so you can review them rather than treating the result as a guarantee.

Can TMonie help me save towards a deadline?

Yes. Savings goals and payment dates can show how much you may need to set aside each month. Plus can add reminders and warnings when a plan may be falling behind.

Can other people take part in a plan?

Plus lets you share one selected plan with contributors or approvers without sharing the rest of your account. Business adds team planning and approval history.

Plans, privacy and limits

What is included, how your information is handled and where the product stops.

What is included in Free, Plus, Business and Business Plus?

Free includes the complete core planning loop and one active plan. Plus adds unlimited active plans, reminders and shared planning, and the Independent workspace for quotes, invoices, projects, expenses and tax estimates. Business adds supplier bills, purchase orders, team planning and approvals for up to 5 users. Business Plus includes the same workspace tools for up to 15 users, owner included, at one predictable subscription price without per-user add-ons.

Are Business workspaces filing-ready accounts?

No. TMonie helps organise records, approvals, reconciliation, forecasts and management reports, but it does not maintain balanced double-entry books, submit tax or company filings, perform an audit, or make accounting judgements. Multi-currency amounts are kept separate rather than converted. You can operate the tools without an accountant, but should seek qualified review before using outputs for statutory filings or where your circumstances require it.

Do I need to connect a bank account?

No. TMonie works with information you choose to enter, so a bank connection is not required. Privacy controls, data export and account deletion remain available without a paid subscription.

Does TMonie hold or move my money?

No. TMonie does not hold customer funds, initiate transfers or make purchases. You continue to save and pay through the financial services you already use. If you turn on online invoice payments, your customers pay you through your own Stripe account and the money goes straight to you, never through TMonie.

Is TMonie financial, credit, accounting or tax advice?

No. TMonie explains planning scenarios based on your inputs, but it does not provide credit, recommend financial products, file accounts or taxes, or give regulated financial advice. You remain responsible for checking the figures and making the final decision.

Where can I get help?
